THE NEUSTADTSGÜTERBAHNHOF BECOMES THE SPURWERK
Finally, the time has come. The Neustadtsgüterbahnhof becomes the SPURWERK.
We presented our plans for the derelict site to the public at a big launch event on the site of the former Neustadtgüterbahnhof.
On around 90,000 square metres, a modern area for trade, crafts and urban manufactures is being created - productive, lively and right in the middle. In this way, we are creating an innovative business park that will be characterised by a high quality of stay - on one of Bremen's largest contiguous brownfield sites.
The name SPURWERK picks up on the history of the site and stands for connection, movement and tradition. The optimal location close to the city centre and the very good logistical connections offer outstanding opportunities for networking - analogous to the former Neustadtsgüterbahnhof - and getting things moving.
Even though the focus is on commercial development, we don't want to create a place here where the pavements are folded up in the afternoon. We want to create an inviting and sustainable area that connects the districts of Neustadt and Woltmershausen and that people like to visit after work.
The initial response from politicians, our partners and interested parties makes us optimistic that we will be able to create an outstanding calling card for Bremen as a business location, which will ultimately benefit everyone in Bremen.
The course has been set. The planned start of construction for the first section of the SPURWERK is spring 2022, and we expect the entire site to be completed by the end of 2026.
Marketing of the commercial space through our partner Robert C. Spies has already begun.
