Bremen, January 19, 2026. Today's groundbreaking ceremony marks the official start of construction on the new SCHAUENBURG Industrietechnik GmbH site in Bremen's Bayernstraße industrial park. Project developer Peper & Söhne, together with all project participants, is thus setting the next milestone in the development of this modern light industrial property.
A new building with approximately 4,192 m² of hall space and office and social areas designed to meet specific requirements is being constructed on the approximately 9,080 m² site. The property is being specially designed to meet the requirements of hose line and fitting technology. The new building will bring together SCHAUENBURG Industrietechnik's previous locations in Bremen in one place. The building is scheduled to be occupied in October 2026, and the lease has been signed for a term of 15 years.
"This groundbreaking ceremony is a visible starting point for a project that is designed for efficiency and sustainability. Together with SCHAUENBURG, we are creating a future-oriented location here. We would like to thank everyone involved in the project for their intensive preparation and especially SCHAUENBURG for the refreshingly uncomplicated, very cooperative partnership: medium-sized business to medium-sized business, with short distances and clear decisions," said Christoph Peper, managing partner of Peper & Söhne GmbH, in his welcoming speech.
Lars Blatt, CSO of SCHAUENBURG Industrietechnik GmbH, added: "With the new building, we are creating the spatial conditions for further growth and optimized processes. Bundling our activities at one location strengthens our production and logistics structures and is a clear commitment to Bremen as a location. Everyone involved has done an excellent job in the preparations – we would like to express our sincere thanks for this. Now we are looking forward to the implementation and to making the new location a reality step by step."
GOLDBECK Nord GmbH has been commissioned as the total contractor. Robert C. Spies Industrial Real Estate GmbH & Co. KG provided consulting and mediation services for the project.
The new building will be constructed in accordance with the criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council, with the aim of achieving gold certification. Plans include the use of an air-water heat pump with natural refrigerant, a photovoltaic system, a smart meter infrastructure, and charging points for electric vehicles. The sustainability and ESG concept is tailored to the user's requirements and is based on the EU taxonomy.
The location in the Bayernstraße industrial park has good connections to the B6 and A27 highways.
